Fictitious invoices acquittal

I am sending a link (below) to an article about an important court case. Forgive me for not translating it all in this instance.

You have heard from me plenty of times about the dangers of falling into the trap of the VAT authorities' contention that you have claimed tax back on the basis of what they call "fictitious invoices". You have probably also heard me warning you that I believe that those accountants and others who run companies which "employ" small time independents who don't want to open tax files are asking for trouble (and the VAT people will go to their clients and not to them with criminal charges).

So like a breath of fresh air an unnamed (at least in this article) judge has said, you nasty small minded nincompoops, you didn't understand the material, you illegally extracted confessions from two nice quiet people of rudimentary education by threatening them with summary imprisonment and gave them no idea what they were supposed to have done or that they could have a lawyer present (and/or remain silent), you failed to prove one iota of your case and hey, what do you know, they're innocent as the driven snow so get out of my Court and go after the real villains, the employment agencies which issued perfectly good invoices but failed to pay their taxes!

Now, wouldn't it be nice if there were a few more judges like that in Israel. But I still don't think you want to go through what Messrs Levi had to suffer before they reached him.
